Database on Accessibility Now Tracks Mobile Phone Software Capability

The Global Accessibility Reporting Initiative (GARI) project maintains a database of mobile devices with accessibility features, used by the mobile industry and government entities as the authoritative source on the subject, since the information comes straight from manufacturers. Now GARI takes note of phones that have an accessibility application programming interface (API). The accessibility API lets the phone load special software that will add even more accessibility features, or improve compatibility with special devices like Braille displays.
