Helping teens to use a mobile phone!!

Novita Children’s Services are seeking 20 volunteers  to be involved in a research project investigating the best ways to help young people with physical disability to use a mobile phone and/or associated technologies to enhance social contact. Volunteers need to be between the ages of 12 to 18.

The Channel 7 Children’s Research Foundation are funding the research. The research will take place during 2009. Each participant will be involved in several short interviews and questionnaires, followed up by training sessions in the use of mobile phones. There will then be a one month trial of mobile phone technologies,  matched to the participants needs and abilities.

To find out more about the study or if you wish to participate, contact Danielle Whitaker, Research Assistant on 8243 8376 or email danielle.whitaker@novita.org.au
