The following information comes to us from Special Olympics Australia:
Dear friends and sports fans,
Special Olympics Australia and the police officers in the Law Enforcement Torch Run program are about to embark on our biggest awareness and fundraising campaign, 43 towns and cities in 29 days from March 19th.
The torch will travel across Queensland, NSW, ACT, Victoria, Tasmania and South Australia leading into the opening ceremony of our IX National Special Olympics Games being hosted in Adelaide.
Our “Flame of Hope” torch will arrive in South Australia in Mt Gambier on 12th April and head through 15 towns in 8 days finishing at the Opening Ceremony of the 2010 Special Olympics Australia National Games.
You and your teams/friends are all invited to celebrate with our SA Special Olympics athletes, coaches, fans and supporters in our “Run with the LAW” torch run and show your support.
