What’s the Buzz?

A social skills enrichment program run by Autism SA.

Is your child aged 8 to 13 years old with Asperger Syndrome?

Do you want your child to be part of a group where they can improve their ability to think and interact socially?

“What’s the buzz?” is a 16 lesson role-play and play-based program, designed to assist children to gain insight into social situations.

Autism S is now looking for registered young people aged between 8 and 13 with Asperger Syndrome to make up two social skills groups (ages 8-10 and 11-13) that will be run bt trained group facilitators. The aims of this project are to enrich social interactions, build self-esteem and a sense of community in all participants. The group will offer opportunities for these children to develop friendships, think and act pro-socially and develop communication skills in a fun and comfortable learning environment.

The group will be run weekly on a Tuesday evening at a cost of $50 and will be based in Hawthorn beginning on Tuesday 24 July 2012.

If you are interested call Autism SA on 1300 288 476 to be sent out an expression of interest form.
