Exhibit in Metropolitan and Rural South Australia during October as part of Mental Health Week. Artists and collectives may exhibit in a variety of locations and also enter to be part of the main exhibitions at the Town Hall and the Bakehouse Theatre.
- Established Artists at The Adelaide Town Hall – opening 15/10/11 at 11am.
- Emerging Artists at The Bakehouse Theatre – opening 10/10/11 at 6pm.
- Artists may submit up to five pieces to the curated exhibitions
- Artists and Organisations may enter a body of work to be exhibited at other sites and locations not just the Town Hall and Bakehouse (variety of venues)
- Prizes are awarded at the curated exhibition in the categories of: Technical Skill, Expression, Experimentation, Wild Card and People’s Choice!
- With judges Steve Donaldson, Daisy and professional artist Chris Wake
- Exhibit along with other talented artists
- Be part of a widely publicised & marketed event
- Open to emerging and established artists
The Mental Health Week Exhibition is open to everyone including Carers, those living with a mental health problem, a disadvantage and the general public. As 1 in 5 of us will experience a mental health problem in any given year the Big Circle is a group that is relevant for us all.

Calling all artists
Purple Orange is the shopfront of the Julia Farr Association. Each year they hold an art exhibition showcasing the works of artists living with disability and artists whose submitted work explores themes relevant to the disability community.
The theme of this year’s exhibition is Personal Leadership.
Due to requests from artists the closing date for art work to be received has been extended until 30 June 2011.
The launch of the Exhibition will now be on Monday 25 July 2011.

furthering inclusive learning and development (field) invites established and emerging artists of all mediums to explore the theme “There is a crack in everything, that’s how the light gets in” and to submit artworks for possible inclusion in the 2011 Rob McNamara Exhibition.
The 2011 Rob McNamara Exhibition will run from 5 -18 August at Collingwood Gallery on Smith Street in Collingwood, Victoria.
Entries are due by 5pm on Friday 24 June, 2011.

Each year Purple Orange holds an art exhibition showcasing the works of artists living with disability and artists whose submitted work explores themes relevant to the disability community.
The theme of this year’s event is: Personal Leadership.
Work should reflect the artist’s interpretation of Personal Leadership: what does it mean to you? What are the barriers and drivers to achieving this?
Artists are encouraged to interpret the theme broadly and explore issues relevant to themselves, the disability sector, and/or the broader community.
Submissions are due by 31 May 2011, and the exhibition will be opened on 27 June 2011.

The City of Salisbury is organising an Art Exhibition and is seeking expressions of interest for the Adapt-Ability exhibition that will showcase the talents of people with disability.
The focus of ‘Adapt-Ability’ is to provide insight into those living with disability in the community, whilst raising awareness of the talents and abilities of people with a disability. The City invites expressions of interest from individuals, groups and agencies to participate in an art exhibition in the John Harvey Gallery from April 20 to May 19. The Exhibition will open at 3pm on Wednesday April 20 in the Gallery.
Each artist may submit up to 2 works, and if offered for sale, would incur 20% commission + GST on commission (effectively 22%). A minimum value of $50 if offered for sale is requested and the artist would be required to sign a tax declaration. All artworks must be recent works and not previously exhibited in the John Harvey Gallery.

Artworks need to be delivered on Friday April 15 between 9am and 1pm or by prior arrangement, and collected Friday May 20 between 9am and 1pm at the John Harvey Gallery, 12 James St, Salisbury.

Paperworks is an exhibition of works on paper by young adults with disabilities from Tutti’s Visual Arts and Design Program. To be opened by Adelaide Visual Artist Laura Wills.
Exhibition dates: 1st August to 21st August 2010, Tuesday to Saturday 12noon-5pm.

The Mental Illness Fellowship of South Australia (MIFSA) is presenting the Schizophrenia Awareness Week Art Exhibition.
Artists can choose whether to exhibit or sell their work. Artists will receive 100% of all works sold.
Entries are open to anyone who identifies as having a mental illness, their family, carers (including friends who take an active role in mentoring or caring for someone who lives with an mental illness).

The Julia Farr Association is presenting an art exhibition with the theme of “A Good Life “.
Artists are encouraged to interpret elements or aspects which contribute toward ‘a good life’. What does ‘a good life’ mean to you? Feel welcome to interpret the theme broadly and and to explore issues which are relevant to you, the disability sector and the broader community.
The exhibition will run from 29th June 2010 to 28th January 2011.
Artwork must be received by 5pm, Friday 28th May 2010.

At the Adelaide Fringe this year Neami will display an art exhibition entitled Familiar.
The exhibition will showcase new work by artists who access Neami and their partner organisations’ studio programmes across South Australia.
The exhibition will be a group presentation of visual artwork inspired by aspects of the familiar.
Lisa Philip-Harbutt, Director of the Community Arts Network will open the exhibition on Thursday February 18th at 5pm.
