The Drs Groden are considered pioneers in the field of autism and developmental disabilities. Their primary areas of interest are stress and anxiety and procedures to reduce stress.
Dr June Groden has focused on the development of relaxation and imagery based procedures for a population with autism and development disabilities. She is the director of the Groden Centre in Providence, Rhode Island.

The Western Autism Parents Group are holding their next meeting on Monday 1st March at Garden Cottage located in the Bower Cottages Community Centre on Bower Road at Ethelton (Bower Cottages are on the left if you are coming from the Port Road end, just after you cross the Port River. There’s a car park at the rear which you can enter from the side street).
The meeting starts at 7.30p.m.
Sam Powrie will talk about selecting vocabulary for language programmes, and explain something about Gail van Tatenhove’s ‘PIXON’ vocabulary lists, which seek to support the development of both understanding and expression.
Jean-Marie, a parent of a child with ASD will also be talking about and demonstrating the ‘Interactive Desk’ he has built for his son’s learning programme at home.

Autism SA are holding a free competition for young people with ASD to win a free ride in a Ford V8 Supercar Ute!
Prize includes
Luxury coach travel to and from Flinders St Bus depot in Adelaide to Mallala Motor Sport Park on Thursday March 11.
Ride around the racetrack in a Ford V8 Supercar Ute for each winner and their carer.
