Autism SA Family Workshops – February and March 2012

The following Family Workshops will take place at the Autism SA office (262 Marion Road, Netley) for a fee of $15 per family that will be collected on the night. To make a booking or for more information about these or other workshops please call 1300 288 476.

An introduction to Autism for families with a new diagnosis
‘An introduction to Autism’ discusses some of the common characteristics of Autism, possible causes and helpful strategies.
Dates: Monday 6th February Time: 7pm-9pm

An introduction to Asperger syndrome for families with a new diagnosis (up to 13yrs)
Focused on families of younger children with Asperger syndrome, this session describes the characteristics, possible causes and helpful strategies.
Dates
: Monday 20th February Time: 7pm-9pm

An introduction to Asperger syndrome for families with a new diagnosis (13yrs+)
Focused on families of older children and also individuals with Asperger syndrome, this session describes the characteristics, possible causes and helpful strategies.
Dates: Monday 5th March Time: 7pm-9pm

Special movie screenings for Autism SA clients and families/carers

The Rotary Club of Adelaide West has invited families who are registered for services with Autism SA to one of two special movie screenings – Arthur Christmas (Rated G) and Puss In Boots (Rated PG) (including popcorn, drinks, showbags and face painters). Tickets are free for clients and their families/carers.

Saturday 10 December: Both movies screening at Hoyts Norwood 9:30am

Sunday 11 December: Both movies screening at Hoyts Salisbury 9:30am

World Festival of Magic

The Rotary Club of Adelaide has invited families who are registered for services with Autism SA to a special event – World Festival of Magic.

Appearing for one day only this magical spectacular is an SA Business sponsored event. Tickets are free for special needs and disadvantaged children and their families/carers.

Date: Sunday 18 December 2011 (1:00pm, 4:00pm or 7:00pm)

Venue: Thebarton Theatre, Henley Beach Road, Torrensville

Duration: 90 minutes

47th Autism SA Annual General Meeting

The Autism SA Board of Management invite Autism SA Financial Members and the general public to attend the 2011 Annual General Meeting to report on the 2010/2011 financial year and vote (financial members only) for positions vacant on the Board.
