Adult clients registered with Autism SA and their parents are welcome to participate in a therapeutic group aimed at more efficiently managing your mental health problems such as anxiety, stress, addictions, depression, self-harm, burn out and more. You will learn mindfulness skills to change your relationship with your symptoms so that they no longer hold you back fron creating a meaningful life.

Aim: To assist children with an ASD to develop age appropriate social, friendship and life skills.
Outcome: For children to be able to transfer skills in group setting to a wide variety of environments.

Aim: To develop and enhance fine and gross motor, social skills, increase confidence and self esteem.
Outcome: Enhance skills through use of music and movement. Incorporating turn taking, waiting, sharing and working together.

Researchers from Flinders University are looking for siblings of children with ASD aged between 12-36 months old and have some communication/developmental difficulties (but not ASD) to participate in a study.
They will be trialling a behavioural screening tool to look at how your child behaves in a semi-structured play setting. It will be a one-time (one hour) session which will be made up of the administration of a series of behavioural observations and developmental/adaptive assessment at the Early Intervention Research Program (EIRP) Centre at Flinders University.

‘Take Time’ mornings are for parents and carers of children with autism spectrum disorders to come and receive general advice regarding how to assist their child. The aim is to have a guest speaker at each session who is a professional and experienced with treating children on the spectrum.

On Friday 11th May 2012, join Autism SA at The Observatory (Hackney Road, Hackney) for Fashion Under the Stars. It is a night out for the ladies (sorry lads!), their mothers and friends as well as supporters of Autism SA to indulge in an evening of fun, fashion and fundraising!
The evening will include a fashion parade that will showcase the latest styles from Adelaide’s very own Mai Loui, El Minara Jewellery, Suede Online and Boo Radley of Hyde Park.
The event promises to deliver surprises you do not want to miss out on – including lots of delicious sweet and treats, fabulous gifts to take home at the end of the night and lounge entertainment by DJ Kaelee. There will also be lots of fun fundraising activities for guests to take part in at the event.
Tickets are $60 per person and will be available from the Autism SA website very soon!
