Eddie Rice Camps are holding the Grandparents raising Grandchildren Camp from 16th – 21st December at Clayton Bay Campsite- a new campsite through SOS Children’s Village.

ERC are looking for expressions of interest from volunteers in the following roles;

Each year Muscular Dystrophy South Australia (MDSA) holds ‘Camp Capacity’ a 5 day camp for young people with neuromuscular disorders and their siblings aged 5 to 25 years.

Camp Capacity is a fantastic opportunity for campers to have fun, make new friends, experience new things and to have some time away from home. The camp is also a good opportunity for parents and carers to have a break.

Camp Capacity will be held from 10th to 14th January 2011. If you or your child are aged between 5-25 years, have been diagnosed with a neuromuscular disorder and wish to find out more about the camp contact Richelle on 8234 5266 or email rclements@mdasa.org.au.

These camps are based on challenge, self development and teamwork. There are approximately 50-80 places available for boys and girls aged 6-11 years, and a equal number for volunteer leaders (aged 16 years and older).

There are two types of camps, Under the Sea Holiday Camps, and Super Heroes’ Holiday Camps.

Under the Sea Holiday Camps

For 5-8 year old boys and girls.

5th to 8th or 10th to 14th of January 2011

Warradale Urban Campsite

Super Heroes’ Holiday Camps

For 9-11 year old boys and girls.

4th to 7th or 9th to 12th of January 2011.

Purple Soup and Cystic Fibrosis SA are holding a Siblings Camp, for siblings of children with Cystic Fibrosis.

November 12 – 14 2010.

Participants must be between 7 and 18 years old and have a brother or sister with cystic fibrosis.

Eddie Rice Camps have camps for boys and girls aged 11-15 years coming up in April.

Bookings close Friday 19th March 10am.

Edmund Rice Camps will be holding two Young Parents Retreat Weekends in 2010. These camps are aimed at providing respite for Young Parents and those expecting a baby.

There will be activities aimed at strengthening the family unit as well as opportunities for parents to be alone while volunteers entertain the children in a safe and nurturing environment.

Criteria

• Parents must be under 20 years of age
• Parents must be on Centrelink payment and/or eligible for a Commonwealth Health Care Card
