Carers SA will present issues and facts concerning family carers and ways in which they provides specialist advice, emotional support, counseling and referral to a wide range of services and supports available. Carers SA will present updated information regarding the Better Start Funding for Carers of Children with a Disability Program.

Late last year, the Hon. Kelly Vincent MLC established a Select Committee into Access to Justice for People with Disabilities. Kelly is hoping her Committee will establish the legislative, cultural, organisational and community reforms and changes that need to occur so that PWD can have a fair go when accessing the justice system both as victims and perpetrators. Following pressure exerted by Dignity for Disability in this area in recent times, the Attorney-General is establishing an inter-departmental group to formulate a Disability Justice Plan.
