Medicare and Allied Health Initiative

Medicare and Allied Health have an initiative which allows access to Medicare rebates for Allied health services. The new Medicare allied health and dental care initiative assists chronically ill people who are managed by their GP under an Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) plan to access 5 free services each financial year.

Services can include:

  • chiropractor
  • dietitian
  • mental health nurse
  • occupational therapist
  • physiotherapist
  • podiatrist
  • speech pathologist
  • and others

Consumer-Centred Health Care Conference

National Conference 22-23 March 2010

This national conference over two days will explore the emerging agenda of consumer-centred health care.
