The Disability Information and Resource Centre

Each year Muscular Dystrophy South Australia (MDSA) holds ‘Camp Capacity’ a 5 day camp for young people with neuromuscular disorders and their siblings aged 5 to 25 years.

Camp Capacity is a fantastic opportunity for campers to have fun, make new friends, experience new things and to have some time away from home. The camp is also a good opportunity for parents and carers to have a break.

Camp Capacity will be held from 10th to 14th January 2011. If you or your child are aged between 5-25 years, have been diagnosed with a neuromuscular disorder and wish to find out more about the camp contact Richelle on 8234 5266 or email rclements@mdasa.org.au.

MDASA will be holding a seminar on Duchenne and Becker Muscular Dystrophy. The seminar also involves the state launch of the Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy Registry so all are encouraged to attend.

This quiz night is organised by the Muscular Dystrophy Association Inc and the Bow Tie Bears Volunteer Events Committee.

Live music with Kay, Julie, Eric, Chris and Charlie.

All proceeds raised go to supporting children and adults who live every day with a neuromuscular disorder.

The Muscular Dystrophy Association invites all to attend their Pre-Fringe Parade Bash and Sausage Sizzle on the 19th February.

The parade bash and sausage sizzle will be held in Hindmarsh Square from 4.30pm to 6.30pm. There will be Ticket raffles for Festival and Fringe shows, LIVE entertainment and wine tasting.

Registration and entry for participants in the parade will be from 5 – 5.30pm where Hutt St turns into Bartels Rd. Participants are asked to wear a red top or shirt with no obvious corporate brands (excepting MDA branding). MDA t-shirts will be available for $15 each at the events.
