SHine SA are offering a course entitled Freedom to Explore Sexual Health (FRESH).
This is a nationally recognised course for workers in the Community Services and Health sectors working in the areas of disability, youth, Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander men’s and women’s health, and Culturally & Linguistically Diverse communities.
The course aims to provide workers with an increased level of confidence when working with clients in the area of sexual and reproductive health and relationships. Participants will enhance their skills in addressing clients’ needs through assessment, program development, delivery and evaluation.
The FRESH course has a flexible design which enables participants from the same occupational groups to share time together exploring client issues and community needs. Participants can complete the core modules, then may choose electives and assessment pathways based on individual preference.

This year’s Sexual Health Awareness Week has Emergency Contraception as the theme. If you’re working with people who may need emergency contraception on occasion, you can order information materials. Please view the order form.
There is also an information event about Emergency Contraception on 22nd February from 5-30-7.30. There remains misinformation and confusion about Emergency Contraception, its purpose and effects and how it can be accessed. This therefore may be a useful session to invite people to who have some confusion about these matters and would like to be better informed. You’ll be able to ask questions. Please view the Emergency Contraception Forum flyer.
