Social Leadership Development Program

APPLICATIONS INVITED for 12 MONTH PROGRAM

1 May 2011 – 30 April 2012

Applications are invited for participants in the Social Leadership Development Program.

This is a twelve month program for people in communities around Australia who want to develop and exercise social leadership, that is, leadership in strengthening society and in finding solutions to social challenges.

The Program runs from 1st May 2011 to 30th April 2012. Places are limited.

Participants must nominate two social challenges they will work on over the course of the twelve month period. The Program aims to provide resources and support to participants in developing and exercising leadership in finding solutions to these challenges, through both public policy change and social innovation.

A strict selection criteria applies.

Loss and Grief in Aboriginal Communities Course

The Australian Institute for Loss & Grief P/L promotes a holistic approach to dealing with loss and grief, promoting personal wellbeing as a basis for community wellbeing.

The institute is presenting its inaugural 2010 course entitled Using Loss and Grief to Address Social Challenges in Aboriginal Communities. The 5 days Accredited Course is based on the successful ‘Seven Phases© to Reconciling Loss and Grief©’ model, which has been developed by Rosemary Wanganeen and successfully used in personal counselling and training for more than 16 years.
