Looking After Me Resource Kit

The Looking After Me Resource Kit is one of the outcomes of the Looking After Me Project (LAM). LAM was an innovative three and a half year project that began in January 2004. funded by Western Sydney Area Assistance Scheme. The project was auspiced by the Penrith Women’s Health Centre and focussed on the Penrith Local Gevernment Area.

The Kit provides visual aids that can be used when discussing domestic violence issues with women with intellectual disabilities.

Pap Smear Awareness Week 2011

Pap Smear Awareness Week provides an opportunity for a wide range of health and community organisations to promote the importance for women aged 18 – 70 to have a Pap smear every two years to prevent cervical cancer.

Pap Smear Awareness Week will be held this year between Saturday 1 May- Sun 7th May.

Should you wish to get involved, you can order a campaign display kit and/or complimentary promotional gifts. Full details can be found in the order form.

Pap Smear Awareness Week May 2011

Sunday 1 May to Saturday 7 May

Pap Smear Awareness Week provides an opportunity for a wide range of health and community organisations to promote the importance for women aged 18 – 70 to have a Pap smear every two years to prevent cervical cancer.

Campaign Display Kits will be available to assist organisations to promote Pap Smear Awareness Week 2011. Kits include: One Test posters and stickers for bathroom doors, balloons, reminder cards, bookmarks, various information pamphlets and the new Pap Self Assess cards.

Small Community Grants of $500 will be available to fund creative ideas and events. Grant application forms and guidelines, plus simple and creative activity ideas are available at www.cervixscreening.sa.gov.au.

Applications close on Monday 21 March, 2011.

Pregnancy Advisory Centre Information Day

Pap Smear Awareness Week: Community Small Grants

Community Small Grant applications for Pap Smear Awareness Week (Sunday 2 May to Saturday 8 May 2010) are now open.

These grants assist community and health workers to conduct promotional activities in their local communities.

The target group for the 2010 Pap Smear Awareness Week includes women with disabilities.

Community Small Grants are worth $500.

To Apply for a Grant

Application forms are available via the SA Cervix Screening website.

Applications close on Monday 22nd March 2010.
